Shirelle Ann Daniels-Lee was born January 3, 1960 at Margaret Hague Hospital in Jersey City, New Jersey. Shirelle accepted Christ at a young age and was baptized at Grace Assembly Church in downtown Jersey City but attended Mountain of Prayer.
Shirelle became a mother and a Home Health Care Aide at the age of 15. She attended Jersey City public schools and graduated from Snyder High School in 1980. Shirelle met her lifelong husband James Lee in 1978. In 1981 she became a Certified Nursing Assistant. Shirelle took her vows in marriage on August 8, 1988 after relocating to Colorado Springs, Colorado. Shirelle and James then decided to move to Kansas City, Missouri in to better their lives and raise their family.
Shirelle further her education in Nursing at Penn Valley Community College. She worked at Swope Ridge and Oak Ridge Nursing Homes for several years but after a 30-year Nursing career she ended up retiring from Rockhill Manor Nursing Facility.
Shirelle was an amazing soul who took everyone under her wing. She loved and touched all lives around her. Shirelle’s personality filled rooms up with joy, and grace. She was spiritual, loving, kind, beautiful, caring and giving, but most of all a phenomenal woman.
Shirelle battled with health issues over the years but her remarkable relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ never allowed her to give up. Shirelle fought until her angels called her home December 28, 2019.
Shirelle was preceded in death by her late grandfather, John Wesley Martin, Sr.; grandmother, Emma Martin; father, Norman Daniels; mother, Shirley Daniels; sister, Cheryl Daniels; nephew, Shyrone Daniels, granddaughter-in-law, Areosha Cannon, and twin grandbaby Daniels.
Shirelle leaves to mourns her passing, her husband James E. Lee, Jr.; mother-in-law, Gloria Pack of Jersey City, New Jersey., her children, James E. Lee, III., LaVera Daniels, Damien Stevens of Jacksonville, Florida, Curtis Reid (Candice) of Pennsylvania, J’Neekqua Daniels, and Niyaa Daniels, Brian Coulter, her friend and confidant of 15 years,; two sisters, Shelia Daniels, Catheryn Daniels-Wilhite (Craig) of East St. Louis, Illinois; uncle, William “Billy” Martin; aunt, Bernice Kearse (James); thirteen grandchildren; two spiritual sister, Diane Terry, Stacey West, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, godchildren, extended family and friends.
