Sammy Cockshell, 53, passed away on October 9, 2019 at Truman Medical Center in Kansas City MO. He was born on May 22, 1966 in Kansas City, MO to Joseph Cockshell and Willie Mae Boose. He grew up in Kansas City, MO. He graduated from Northeast High School. After high school he began work for himself at Cockshell Painting as the Owner. He was preceded into death by his father Joseph Cockshell, brother John Cockshell, grandmother Annie Cockshell, grandfather Joseph Cockshell, Sr., grandson Antwon Wooden, grandmother Johnnie Manning, grandmother Helen Manning. Along with a host of family members preceding him in death. He is survived by his mother Willie Mae Boose (Jerry Frazier); his daughters, Shantaye Wright (Timmy Wright), Shawnique Stansbury (David Stansbury), Zatura Manning, Darnishia Brown (Doresy Evans), Mariah Cockshell; his son Sammie Cockshell, Jr.; his sisters; Janette Marley (Demond Marley), Wanda Sanders (Calvin Sanders), Gladys Hawkins (Steven Hawkins), Shirley Douglas (John Douglas), Joyce Martin (Terrance Martin), Linda Bowden (Malcolm Bowden); one brother, David Manning, he also is survived by 18 grandchildren, and a special women Nancy Allen.
