Ronald Russell Obituary

Prophet, Ronald Russell, was born March 11, 1951, to the family of James Joseph Russell and Lillian Emanuelson. He was the oldest child of this union. His father and sister Susan proceeded him in death. He attended school in Kansas City, KS public schools. He graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1969 and was an outstanding basketball player. Ron was always involved with sports and could call “the game” before it was over. He was a production worker and retired in 2015, from DST. He met and married the love of his life, Dorothy Smith in 1981. They were happily married for 38 years. He accepted Christ and was a member of New Life in Christ International Ministries for many years. Ron had an ardent passion and love for the Word of God. He studied to show himself approved unto God and rightly divided the word of Truth. He delighted greatly in the Word of God and in his word did he meditate day and night. He walked, talked, breathed and lived and taught the word of God. This great love of the Word caused him to move in the Prophetic Ministry and was the voice of prophesy in the Church. He was a humble man who didn’t require the limelight but was a mighty man eloquent in the Scriptures. He let nothing separate him from the love of God. He touched and influenced many and was an example of generosity as well as a great encourager. Ron fought the good fight of faith and was promoted to his heavenly home on Friday, November 22, 2019. He graduated Summa Cum Laude. He received his starry crowns and laid them down at the feet of His Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! His life was a life well spent in humble submission, surrender and service to the Lord. Strong, Faithful, steadfast loyal dependable, loving and kind was this worthy servant of the Lord!. He will always live in our hearts! His memory will be cherished by his wife, Dorothy Russell, his mother Lillian Russell, brother Glen (Marsha) Russell, his sister, Regina, Carlson; (Greg) step sons, Nataan Smith (Chandra) Plano, Texas, Jeffrey Smith, Irving, Tx, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and a host of other relative and friends. Free at last, Free at last, thank God almighty, Prophet Ron is free at last!
