Makih T. Briggs “Kih” 21, departed his life on September 11, 2019 at Research Medical Center. He was born on September 18, 1997 to Michael Briggs and Kristy Bedford of Kansas City, Missouri. He was preceded into death by his maternal great grandfather, Rev. Toy Bedford and great grandmother, Pearlie Mae Bedford, paternal great grandmother, Nadine Franklin, Erma Doss, and his best friend, Jaylen Stevens.
Makih Briggs also known as “Kih” to family and close friends graduated from Ruskin High School in 2016. He also attended Park University to pursue his love for Basketball. He worked at Amazon as a driver before his passing.
He accepted Christ at an early age at Hands of Christ MBC under the leadership of Rev. Toy Bedford, he also attended House of Prayer Evangelistic under the leadership of Benard Crawford.
Makih leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Kristy Bedford; father, Michael Briggs (Katherine); six sisters, I’Reyonna Wallace, Mariah Briggs, Brittany Briggs, Marika Briggs, Mikayla Briggs, Gabriel Briggs; four brothers, Jordan Wallace, Michael Briggs, Jr., Markese Briggs, Tyran Briggs; maternal grandmother, Marquieta Bedford of Gainesville, Florida; paternal grandmother, Patricia Briggs, of KCK; paternal grandfather, Roydell Doss (Ramoana) of North Carolina; two aunts, Katrina Bedford (Edgar Sr. Drake), Curtika Nelson; three uncles, Emanual Perry, Mario Clayborne, Roydell Doss, Jr., one great aunt, Sabrina Bedford; two great uncles, Jerome Bedford (Bessie), Darryl Bedford; three cousins, Kaneyia Drake, Edgar Drake, Jr., (best friend) Kayden Drake, and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins who he loved so much, and two very close cousins, Tashana Bedford and Thomas Jones, Jr (best friend).
