Lisa Powell was born on November 13, 1968 to Alice Tolefree and Gary Johnson. She married Reginald Powell on May 29, 2009. She graduated from Paseo High School in 1986. She also attended Ealamars Beauty & Barber School and received her Cosmetology Degree. Lisa was currently employed at the United States Postal Service.
Lisa gave her life to Christ at an early age, and was a faithful member of Harvest Church International, where she served as a greeter. She was a soul winner and believed that her Pastor taught the word of God better than any other. As a child, she was apart of the Marching Leopard Drill Team, and Youth for Christ. She was currently a member of Waiting on A Promise support group, and the Worth It Organization. She loved to thrift shop and had several thrifting booths around Kansas City with plans of opening her own thrift store.
Lisa was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. Lisa had the most beautiful brown eyes, and a smile that will light up the room.
Lisa went home to be with the Lord on December 27, 2019. Her father Gary Johnson; brother, Derick Jackson; stepson, Reginald Jenkins; her grandmother and grandfather, Lorenzia and Otis Jackson all preceded her in death.
Lisa leaves to cherish her memories, her husband Reginald Powell, mother Alice Tolefree(Rick) her children; Jere Jackson, Jera Jackson, Jerel Jackson, Dezmon Jackson and Joshua Thompson, sister Chanette Young (John) grandchildren; Je’Ryah Willingham, Asim Jackson, Anylah Jackson, Janiya Jackson, Jaelei Jackson, Jaliyah Jackson, special friends Tonya Brown, Shannon Jackson a host of nieces and nephews and families.
