Jarvetta Walker Obituary

Jarvetta was born August 21st, 1988 In Blytheville Arkansas To parents Tonja Walker and Floyd Jenkins, while she was raised in Kansas City Missouri by her mom. Growing up Jarvetta was an honorable big sister to her live in younger siblings; sister Steana, brother Jodeci, and youngest brother Jayquan, they all looked up to her. Rather it be her Bossy personality, Fashion sense, Swift thinking or just her all around Dominance about life. She truly had it! Jarvetta excelled in school, always on the honor roll, very smart, and about her studies. Jarvetta attended Lincoln College Preparatory Academy, where she received her diploma as a 2007 Class Graduate. With dreams of becoming a Fashion Designer and a book full of her own sketches to lead her on her way Jarvetta furthered her education at Penn Valley Community College, joining their Fashion Program. While in school Jarvetta worked at Nordstrom doing what she loved; styling and assisting others. She eventually took on work full time leaving school behind, beginning her last form of work at the United States Post Office. Although she did not get to finish her schooling, Jarvetta's next big plan was to create her own bag line; specializing in clutches. She already had began, her family plans to carry out this dream. Jarvetta was in a special place in her life. She grew closer to God, she spoke with depth, had a great deal of faith, and developed a very soft soul. She also grew closer to her Dad; which she was always determined to do, this made her feel complete. They built a beautiful bond. She also met her soul mate Marcus Banks, her child's Father who stayed by her side supporting and encouraging her until the end. She was truly on a mission, she was on her way to true happiness. Jarvetta’s strength was unmatched. During the last weeks of her illness she was told that she was not going to make it; her mom cheered her on with the encouraging words “ you’re not going anywhere “ she replied; I’m Not! She was a fighter and kept us all strong. She was truly inspiring. Although Jarvetta is not here with us physically her spirit will forever live in our hearts, Her loving grandmother made sure she knew that in their last conversation. Jarvetta leaves behind a joyful baby boy Marcellus, Ermias. Banks, A true soulmate Marcus Banks, and loving family who will carry out her legacy for a lifetime. This is not the end, but the beginning of her destiny.
