Gary then started working at Harvester – The Community Food Network on March 2, 2010, he was such an excellent worker he moved up the ranks very quickly as usual and was promoted to run the Topeka, Ks location but his health was starting to fail again, he retired completely from Harvesters July 25, 2014.

Gary enjoyed listening to music of all kind, Old Skool, Jazz & Frankie Beverly and Maze being his favorite.  He enjoyed going to live concerts, 2-Stepping, waking up early on Saturday mornings washing his car until it sparkled and shined just right, and then we would take long rides.   He loved tending to his yard, his Mom’s and Grandmother’s as well, he absolutely loved doing it. He even enjoyed the simple things in life like starching his jeans to a crisp (he would take at least 2 hours to iron his clothes.)  He loved to shop and loved to dress as well. He loved to eat, especially with his family. He also enjoyed drumming a beat to his favorite music and would beat on anything he could find (books, dash-board, the steering wheel, tables the wall, etc…)

Gary loved spending time with his family his children and grand-daughter were his pride and joy and he could not wait to meet his newest addition Rainah Leigh Renee, will be born in September.  He enjoyed taking his Children, Nieces, Nephews to all of the parades KC had to offer every year, and the Drive-Inn theatre.  No matter the time or the place if you called on Uncle Gary he was there. He loved to have family barbecues and welcomed everyone.  He enjoyed holiday’s, his favorites were the Fourth of July & Christmas. On the 4th of July, Gary, his Father-n-Law, and both Brother-N-Laws who all proceded him in death would gather together and put on the best firework shows for the family.  On Christmas Day he enjoyed being on the Judge Panel for the Annual Family Talent Show. He enjoyed playing cards and taking your quarters in a good game of TRASH, he also loved to partake in a hot game of dominos “BONES” with his BROTHERS the FELLAS.  Gary loved the Kansas City Chiefs, he enjoyed watching football so much you could catch him watching ESPN and old games over and over again.  He would always throw barbeques for every CHIEFS game.
