Elijah Jabril Muhammad was born October 11, 1989 in Kansas City, Missouri to Faiza Muhammad and Leo A. Dorch. He was the sixth of his mothers seven children.
As a child, you could find Elijah helping/befriending the elderly in the neighborhood, dancing and speaking up for those who may not have had a voice. It very well could have been short person syndrome, but it was a trait he carried into his adult life. Elijah was never one to hold his tongue, didn’t back down from a challenge and always spoke his truth.
More than anything, Elijah enjoyed spending time with his family. He was quite the comedian, stealing our hearts with his goofy laugh, filling our cups with his spirit through his infectious smile…His smile was truly a heart of gold.
Elijah departed his vessel August 29, 2019. He was preceded into death by his grandparents Aisha Muhammad, Allie Mae Hams and Edward Dorch, his older brother, Sharrieff Muhammad.
Elijah is survived by his parents, Leo Dorch, Faiza Muhammad; his children, siblings, and a host of other relatives and friends.
