Dentenyon Denise Davis, also known as “De De”, 49, passed away August 7, 2019 at her home in Kansas City, Missouri. She was born on March 16, 1970 in Chicago, Illinois to Michael Newton and Pearlie Davis. She grew up in Chicago, Illinois and graduated from Near North high School.
De De was employed with the Kansas City VA Medical Center as an Administrative Assistant where she worked for 20 years.
In 2016 Denise was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer, doctors lacked the hope of seeing one year let alone three she lived her to the fullest whenever you seen her you would see her smile and hear her laugh. Even through her the fight her smile never faded after several stages of chemo she continued to battle the storm.
Sadly, on August 7, 2019 she transitioned this early life to eternity she decided the battle was no longer hers to fight. She joined her heavenly family, paternal and maternal grandparents; and seven uncles to welcome her home.
She leaves on earth to cherish her memories her daughter, De’Ja Davis-Taylor; mother, Pearlie Davis; father, Michael Newton; three grandchildren, Dai’Zee, Skyler, Kai Davis; four brothers, Rayshon Davis, Tristian Sims, Michael Newton, Miles Newton; one sister, Octavia Parker; three aunts, Queen Ellison of Kansas City, Mo., Sherlie Davis, Levern Davis; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
