Carrie Mae was born on June 29, 1941 to Willie & John Larry in Memphis Tennessee. Both parents and one son, Ricky L. Dilworth precedes her in death.
Carrie’s family relocated to the Kansas City area. She was just five years old. She accepted Christ at Salem Baptist Church in Kansas City, Kansas. She was educated in the Kansas City Missouri School District, attending RT Cole Manual High School. Carrie was employed with the Kansas City Missouri School District for thirty-five years and later retired in 2010. She enjoyed dressing, shopping, dining, and hanging with her dear and close friend, Evelyn Collins.
She departed this life September 23, 2019 after a long illness.
She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Sheila White (Carlton), and Cynthia Singleton (Harry) both of Kansas City, Kansas; two grandsons, Eric Dilworth (Shelley) of Raytown, Missouri, and Ricky R. Dilworth of Grandview, Missouri; four granddaughters, Keesha Anderson (Courendy) of South Kansas City, Missouri, Carrie SY Randall (David), Cutina Dilworth, and Harriet Haynes (Moe) all of Kansas City, Missouri; twelve great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
